Frequently asked questions 

  • How old do I need to be?
    Our Insurance covers drivers aged between 25 -75 or 25 – 70 if a non UK driving licence is held.
  • Is there a deposit?
    Yes, we require a £450 deposit This will automatically be taken 24 hours before you set off
  • What ID do I need?
    Each Driver must provide the following documents: Photo Card Drivers Licence Passport if driver has a non UK licence Two forms of proof of Address issued within the last 90 days: 2 X Utility bills or statements (see list in FAQs) DVLA check code issued within the past 21 days More information can be found here, www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
  • Where can I collect the camper from?
    The camper will be located on Layhams Farm, BR2 6AR
  • Can I leave my car at the pickup point?
    Yes, but we will require your keys in case we need to move it.
  • How do I pay?
    Payments are made online. A 20% non-refundable deposit can be made in advance to secure your date. Payment in full must made within 30 days of booking.
  • Is the camper easy to use?
    We will provide videos explaining everything you need to know. We will also provide a phone number for if you need any additional support.
  • Is the camper easy to drive?
    Yes, it’s a big square box on wheels.
  • How long will the handover take?
    We try to do everything prior to the collection date. Providing you have followed the booking process correctly, the handover should take seconds.
  • Can I smoke in the camper?
    No.
  • Can I take pets in the camper van?
    We only allow pets in our red and white van. All others must remain pet free. A £150 cleaning fee will be issued if pet hair or remnants of pets are found in the vans. Please understand that this is a nightmare for customers with allergies.
  • Do you provide bedding or towels?
    No, you will have to bring your own.
  • How many people can we have in the camper?
    This is dictated by the number of seatbelts in the camper you decide to use. Our vans have between 3 and 5 seatbelts so you can travel with 3 to 5 people.
  • What if I have a problem with the camper van?
    We provide the most comprehensive RAC cover. We keep our vans in top condition and try to do everything we can to ensure that your trip goes as smoothly as possible However, breakdowns can happen.
  • What documents are accepted as proof of address?
  • What if I have points on my licence?
    We have to check your licence in order to validate the insurance.
  • What do I need to take when travelling to a European country?
    Depending on the country you are visiting you may need some additional documents and equipment. Please refer to gov.uk/driving-abroad for further advice.
